We're looking for a brilliant Business Operations Manager to work directly alongside the CEO, helping turn ideas into action, drive projects forward and bring structure, organisation and a little bit of magic to the day-to-day running of the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves variety, thrives on responsibility and gets a real buzz from making things happen.

The role:

No two days will look quite the same!

Working closely with the CEO and wider leadership team, you'll have a fantastic overview of the business, getting involved in everything from strategic projects and business improvements to stakeholder coordination, presentations and day-to-day operational support.

One minute you could be researching a new commercial opportunity, the next building a presentation, coordinating a project or turning a conversation into a clear plan of action.

You'll help keep the leadership team on track, making sure priorities are clear, deadlines are met and great ideas don't get lost in busy diaries.

You'll also look at ways to make the business work smarter, exploring AI, digital tools and processes that improve productivity and free up valuable time. There'll be opportunities to get involved in company culture, events, internal initiatives and supporting the CEO's external profile too. Ultimately, you'll be the person who connects the dots, keeps things moving and makes sure things actually get done!

What we're looking for:

We're looking for a commercially minded, exceptionally organised and proactive individual who is confident working with senior leaders and comfortable juggling lots of moving parts.

You don't need to have followed a particular career path. You could come from business operations, project management, business support or a varied role within a growing company.

A few things we'd love to see:

• Experience in a business operations, project coordination, business management or senior leadership support role.
• Ideally, experience working within a start-up, scale-up or fast-growing business.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep projects on track.
• Confidence creating presentations, researching ideas and turning conversations into structured plans.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.
• A genuine interest in AI, digital tools and improving business productivity.
• A creative eye and an interest in communications, social media or events would be a bonus.

Experience within life sciences or healthcare would be lovely, but it's certainly not essential.

You could have the most impressive CV in the world, but for this role, mindset is everything.

We need someone who is one step ahead, not one step behind. Someone who spots what needs doing before being asked, can take a fairly loose idea and turn it into something meaningful, and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.

You'll need to be resourceful, adaptable, commercially aware and confident enough to challenge ideas constructively. And while there are some exciting strategic projects to get involved in, you'll also need to be happy handling the practical details that keep a busy CEO and leadership team running smoothly.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for instructions. It's for someone who loves taking ownership, solving problems and seeing the results of their hard work.
