Quality Engineer - #2178228

Quality Engineer required to join a long-term major transformation programme focused on data migration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement test solutions and automation frameworks.
• Apply structured testing approaches aligned with TDD/BDD.
• Support CI/CD processes and shift-left quality assurance.
• Apply risk-based testing methodologies and ensure appropriate test coverage.
• Conduct testing across unit, system, functional, integration and non-functional levels.
• Support data migration, including data extraction, transformation and validation.
• Manage test data, databases and testing documentation.
• Analyse business requirements, processes and technical architectures to develop effective testing solutions.
• Coach and support engineering teams in quality assurance best practices.
• Support development activities and pair programming across the product stack.
• Undertake manual testing where automation is not appropriate.

Essential experience

• Experience in software testing and quality engineering.
• CI/CD and GitLab, with an understanding of Git.
• Data migration experience.
• Strong test analysis, design and risk-based testing skills.
• Knowledge of databases and test data creation and management.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and TDD/BDD approaches.

Desirable experience

• JUnit, Playwright, Selenium and Cucumber/Gherkin.
• Gatling, WireMock, OWASP ZAP and SonarQube.
• Java, microservices and OpenAPI.
• Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
• Accessibility testing, WCAG and Axe.
• GitHub Copilot and Wave.
• Agile Scrum and agile practices.
