Talent and Development Manager

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Salary: £50-54k

Type: Full-time, permanent, hybrid (2 days in office) + benefits

We are delighted to be supporting our client in the appointment of an experienced Talent & Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the organisation’s Talent, Learning & Development strategy.
• Lead performance and development frameworks, including 1-to-1s, reviews and development plans.
• Design and deliver engaging blended learning, leadership and professional development programmes.
• Develop competency frameworks, skills matrices and career pathways.
• Identify current and future skills gaps to support workforce planning and succession.
• Manage apprenticeships, qualifications, mentoring and coaching initiatives.
• Oversee the Learning Management System and mandatory/compliance training.
• Manage external learning providers and key stakeholder relationships.
• Measure L&D effectiveness through KPIs, feedback and business outcomes.
• Coach and advise managers on talent development and organisational capability.

About You

The successful candidate will have significant Talent/L&D experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment, with a proven track record in:

• Learning and development strategy and programme design.
• Performance and competency frameworks.
• Blended learning and adult learning methodologies.
• Talent management, career development and succession planning.
• LMS and learning technology management.
• Coaching, facilitation and stakeholder engagement.
