Senior Family Practitioner – SEND

30 hours, but full time hours would be considered.

Lead early years SEND support that changes lives.

This is an opportunity to lead a skilled team supporting children with additional needs. You’ll help embed inclusive practice, guide family engagement, and ensure early identification leads to better outcomes.

In This Role, You Will

  • Manage and supervise Family Practitioners SEND
  • Deliver early years SEND initiatives and interventions
  • Embed the Graduated Approach in practice
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
  • Coordinate with teams across districts to improve consistency

What Your Week Will Look Like

  • 2 days supporting colleagues to deliver Early Years SEND initiatives
  • Delivering group sessions, working with parents
  • 1 day undertaking supervisions and admin of line managing staff
  • Attending multi-agency meetings

What We’re Looking For

  • A Level 3+ qualification in Early Years or SEND
  • Strong experience in early years SEND provision
  • Confident leader and mentor, with knowledge of EYFS & SLCN
  • Skilled communicator and inclusive practitioner
  • Resilient, reflective and ready to lead

Based in BFS Streams 1 & 2 (Erdington, Perry Barr, Hodge Hill & Sutton)
