The Role

You'll ensuring the smooth operation of residential buildings and communal areas, being the first point of contact for residents, supporting them with tenancy queries, estate maintenance, and community engagement.

This is a new role, which we have created to provide frontline services within some of our larger housing schemes within a mile of Birmingham City Centre. This role represents a good opportunity for those who have previous cleaning, caretaking or maintenance experience, but are keen to develop their skills and start or continue their journey into a customer services or housing role.

Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Monitoring security and safety, carrying out building compliance checks and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.
• Conducting routine checks and inspections to maintain a high-quality living environment.
• Keeping communal areas clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
• Coordinating waste disposal, estate maintenance and carrying out minor repairs where required.
• Assisting residents with basic housing management queries and tenancy-related concerns.
• Supporting community initiatives and engagement activities.
  
  

Our Ideal Candidate? To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Experience in a facilities, caretaking, cleaning, maintenance or housing management related role with face to face contact with customers.
• Relevant practical skills or experience for carrying out minor repairs and maintenance.
• Experience of using a range of IT programmes, such as Microsoft packages and inhouse systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting residents.
  
  

This role is based onsite across three large housing schemes close to Birmingham City Centre.
