Role Introduction

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bid Manager to join our growing bid management team within our IT Services business ( https://www.oneadvanced.com/services ). This role is vital in supporting our ambitious growth targets by driving successful bid responses across new business opportunities, existing customer expansions, and strategic renewals.

Reporting to the Senior Bid Manager as part of the Commercial Function, the Bid Manager will work closely with Sales, Presales and wider teams to deliver compelling proposals that differentiate our solutions in the competitive market.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and manage the entire bid lifecycle from qualification through to award, for formal tenders and proactive proposals, ensuring compliance with internal governance and external procurement requirements
  • Collaborate with sales teams on win strategies, creating compelling, benefits-driven content that aligns with customer requirements
  • Coordinate virtual bid teams including sales, pre-sales architects, technical specialists, and subject matter experts
  • Create and maintain detailed bid plans, including risk logs, writing style guides, and other supporting materials while facilitating response planning and storyboarding sessions
  • Ensure all bid documentation presents our best possible response through leading content review sessions, while also adhering to company branding standards
  • Manage submission timelines and ensure all deliverables are returned to customers on time and in compliance with their procurement process
  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our bid content library, working with subject matter experts to develop standard content
  • Participate in supplier events including briefing days, pre-market engagements, and pre-sales workshops as required
  • Facilitate lessons learned workshops, helping to build competitive intelligence for future opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of sector-specific bidding strategies and assist in establishing and maintaining the Bid Centre of Excellence


What You Will Have

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' proven experience in bid management
  • Minimum certification to APMP Foundation level
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement processes
  • Understanding of technology solutions and IT services valuable but not essential

  • Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal presentation and communication skills


Desirable

  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop compelling win themes
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills when working with internal stakeholders
  • Research skills for competitive analysis and market intelligence
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear customer benefits
