Daily rate: £140–£180 (paid PAYE)

Onboarding begins in May

A friendly and well-organised school in Edgbaston (B15) is seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher to join them from September. This two-form entry school was rated ‘Good’ in its most recent Ofsted, but has made excellent strides under new leadership. The role has become available due to a staff member beginning maternity leave, and the is onboarding in May to ensure continuity and a confident start to the academic year.

You’ll work with a class of 29 pupils, supported by a full-time teaching assistant. The school uses Read Write Inc. for phonics and provides structured support for assessment and moderation. Collaboration with your parallel class teacher is built into weekly PPA.

Requirements

• QTS with experience in Key Stage 1
• Familiarity with phonics, SATs preparation, and pupil progress tracking
• Ability to adapt teaching for a range of needs
• Eagerness to contribute to a growing and ambitious team
