The Role

As the Building Safety Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and managing a team responsible for the safety and compliance of buildings over 18m in height. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the team to implement and manage a high-rise safety programme, including overseeing building safety cases, resident engagement strategies, EWS1 certificates, and safety reports.


• Ensuring full compliance with the Building Safety Act and delivering excellent service to clients.


• Managing and mitigating risks across the portfolio of buildings.


• Providing leadership and guidance to your team, ensuring performance reviews, feedback, and development opportunities are in place.


• Managing the P&L of the department, ensuring revenue and budget targets are met.


• Working closely with key clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results and ensuring strong, ongoing relationships.


• Staying up to date with the latest changes in legislation and ensuring the company’s services meet evolving standards.

Experience and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Building Safety Act and its secondary legislation.


• Extensive experience in property management, including an understanding of lease structures and client relationships.


• Strong project management and line management experience.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• A high level of commercial awareness and the ability to manage a P&L effectively.
