MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN – FACILITIES & SMALL WORKS

SALARY: £38,480 – £39,520 per annum (£18.50–£19 per hour, based on 40 hours)

LOCATION: Midlands (Field Based)

Red Rock Consultants are working on behalf of an established Facilities Management and Building Services business who are looking to recruit a qualified Electrician to join their team.

THE COMPANY

Our client provides Facilities Management, Building Services and Small Works solutions to commercial customers nationwide.

This is a varied opportunity offering a blended role between Facilities Management and Small Works, providing exposure to both maintenance and installation projects.

THE ROLE

You will typically spend three days per week supporting the Facilities Management department and two days supporting Small Works.

FM duties will generally be undertaken at commutable client sites, while Small Works projects may involve travel further afield and overnight stays.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, diagnosing faults and completing repairs.
• Undertaking electrical installation, alteration, refurbishment and remedial works.
• Carrying out routine inspections and general electrical checks.
• Supporting maintenance requests, breakdowns and project requirements.
• Working flexibly between FM and Small Works departments.
• Completing job records, test documentation and reports.
• Liaising with clients, colleagues and project teams.
• Identifying additional works, defects and potential improvements.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and company property.

THE PERSON

• Previous experience as a qualified Electrician.
• Background in electrical maintenance, Facilities Management, Small Works or installation projects.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Practical experience in fault finding, repairs and electrical installation.
• Able to work independently and manage daily workloads.
• Flexible approach to working across different departments.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and lodge away for Small Works assignments when required.
• 2391 Inspection and Testing would be advantageous but is not essential.
