Reporting to the Key Account Manager, you will be accountable for the local security operation and act as a key point of contact for all security matters on site.

Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional to lead a site-based security operation within an infrastructure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining service delivery standards, ensuring compliance with security procedures, and supporting the ongoing development of the security team.

The role requires a proactive manager who can lead by example, manage incidents effectively, build strong client relationships, and drive continuous improvement across the security function. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment while ensuring contractual obligations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of security services to ensure contractual requirements and service levels are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with Assignment Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Procedures, and Client Security Policies.
  • Act as the first point of contact for incident management, ensuring appropriate escalation to the Key Account Manager, client, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage security systems, including CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intruder Detection Systems, and associated technologies.
  • Conduct operational reviews and audits to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage staffing levels, support recruitment activities, and ensure vacancies are addressed promptly.
  • Lead, motivate, develop, and support Security Officers and wider security personnel.
  • Ensure all team members maintain the required licences, training, and competency standards while promoting a positive culture focused on safety, compliance, engagement, and customer service.

Person Specification

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a security environment.
  • Strong security background with a solid understanding of security operations.
  • Valid SIA Front Line Licence.
  • Security First Line Manager Level 3 Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience managing security incidents and stakeholder escalations.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intruder detection systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Government or corporate office security experience would be advantageous.
