Compliance Manager - #2181795

Birchlake Recruitment is partnering with a growing, ambitious insurance business to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Compliance professional who enjoys taking ownership, developing regulatory frameworks and working closely with senior leadership to shape a business's Compliance function.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll play a key role in ensuring the business meets its regulatory obligations while supporting its continued growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

Developing, implementing and maintaining Compliance policies, procedures and frameworks.

Designing and embedding an effective Compliance and Risk Management framework.

Providing regulatory advice and guidance to the CEO and Board.

Managing relationships and communications with the FCA and other relevant stakeholders.

Overseeing Compliance reviews, audits, regulatory developments and associated controls.

Leading a team responsible for KYC, AML and sanctions screening, including oversight of customer onboarding.

Promoting a strong Compliance culture through training, guidance and collaboration across the business.

About You

We're keen to hear from individuals who can demonstrate:

A minimum of 5 years' Compliance experience within UK Financial Services, ideally Insurance.

Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and regulatory requirements.

Practical experience across AML, KYC, sanctions and PEP screening.

Experience developing Compliance policies, procedures and frameworks.

Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

A proactive, commercially aware and hands-on approach.
