We’re looking for an experienced Legal Manager to join our in-house Legal Services team at GreenSquareAccord.

Working closely with our Head of Legal, you’ll provide specialist legal advice on housing matters, support colleagues across the organisation and deliver practical, effective legal solutions. You’ll also help improve legal processes and develop our in-house legal function, supporting our commitment to providing safe, quality homes and services.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide legal advice on social housing matters, including tenancy management, possession proceedings, disrepair, anti-social behaviour (ASB) and property issues.
  • Support the management of external solicitors, legal counsel and legal service providers.
  • Review housing litigation processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide practical, commercially aware legal advice.
  • Support the development of an effective, compliant and value-for-money legal service.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, share knowledge and deliver training where required.
  • Support legal budget management and ensure effective use of external legal resources.

What We Need

You’ll be a qualified legal professional with strong housing law knowledge and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

You’ll bring:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX/Fellow), with appropriate post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in an in-house legal function, ideally within social housing.
  • Strong knowledge of housing litigation, possession proceedings, disrepair and tenancy matters.
  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework affecting housing associations.
  • Experience managing relationships with external legal advisers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and identify legal risks.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals.
  • The chance to improve processes and shape our in-house legal services.
  • The opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and organisational improvements.
  • A rewarding role within an organisation committed to improving lives and strengthening communities.

At GreenSquareAccord, we believe everyone deserves a safe and secure place to call home. Our colleagues make this possible, and we’re committed to creating an environment where people feel supported, valued and empowered to make a difference.
