Ocean Export Operator - #2179435

Our client is an established freight forwarder with a strong reputation and a loyal customer base. The business is growing, and they need an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator to help them grow with it.

You'll join a small, close-knit team. Everyone pulls together, and your contribution will be seen and valued from day one. This is a chance to play a real part in a business on the up, not just be a number in a big operation.

You'll own ocean export shipments from booking through to delivery. That covers:

• Handling customer enquiries and taking bookings for FCL and LCL shipments
• Booking space with shipping lines and consolidators
• Arranging collections and haulage to port
• Preparing and checking shipping documents, including bills of lading
• Coordinating export customs declarations with the customs team or broker
• Tracking shipments and keeping customers updated at every stage
• Resolving delays, rollovers and issues quickly and calmly
• Raising accurate costings and invoices on time
• Building strong relationships with customers, carriers and overseas agents
• Supporting colleagues across the wider team when it's busy

Experience

• Proven end to end ocean export experience within a freight forwarder
• Confident handling FCL and LCL shipments independently
• Solid knowledge of export documentation and customs processes
• Comfortable with freight systems such as CargoWise or similar
