Katie Bard
Business Change Manager – Organisational Transformation & Integration
West Midlands | Hybrid working
We are recruiting an experienced Business Change Manager to join a rapidly growing professional services organisation undergoing significant expansion through acquisitions.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in legal or professional services who understand the complexities of managing change in environments where established working practices, professional autonomy and stakeholder relationships are critical.
Working within a developing Integration Management Office (IMO), you will take ownership of the people and operational aspects of change across a portfolio of acquisition integration and business transformation initiatives.
The scope is broad, spanning Operations, HR, Finance, Compliance, Technology and business support functions. You will help ensure that newly integrated businesses operate effectively within a growing organisation, while managing the cultural, operational and people-related challenges that accompany change.
This is not a purely technology-led change role. We need someone who can understand the wider business implications of transformation and translate complex objectives into practical, sustainable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver business change strategies across acquisition integration and organisational transformation programmes.
- Assess the impact of change on people, processes, organisational structures and operating models.
- Support the alignment of different businesses, teams, cultures and established working practices.
- Conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis and business readiness reviews.
- Build relationships with senior leaders and professional stakeholders, managing resistance and securing commitment to change.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts and functional leaders to ensure change activities align with integration plans.
- Develop and deliver engagement, communications, training and adoption strategies.
- Support the implementation of new operating models, processes and ways of working across multiple business functions.
- Identify risks to adoption, monitor progress and ensure change delivers measurable, sustainable benefits.
- Provide practical change leadership within a developing integration function.
Applicants MUST have:
- Experience delivering business change within legal or professional services environments.
- A demonstrable track record of organisational transformation, operational change or business integration.
- A strong understanding of the challenges involved in aligning people, processes, cultures and operating models.
- The credibility to influence senior professionals, challenge established practices and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
- Experience developing change strategies, impact assessments, business readiness plans and adoption frameworks.
- The ability to work independently, manage ambiguity and take ownership of complex change initiatives.
- A practical, hands-on approach, with the ability to move between strategic planning and delivery
