Head of Reporting and FP&A - #2178138
Mitchell Adam
Mitchell Adam is partnering with a substantial international group to appoint a Head of Group Reporting & FP&A into a pivotal position within its senior finance leadership team.
Operating on a significant scale, with a complex, multi-site structure and international presence, this business is continuing to grow and evolve. With further development and transformation on the horizon, there is a real opportunity for an experienced finance leader to influence how the group reports, plans and measures its performance.
Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this is a broad role combining technical financial reporting, group-wide planning and commercial insight. You will have regular exposure to the Board, responsibility for a talented team of four and the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the organisation.
What is requiredWe are looking for an accomplished finance professional who has operated within a large, complex business and understands the demands of reporting at group level.
The successful individual will be technically excellent, ideally ACA or ACCA qualified, with a strong background in consolidated reporting, statutory accounts and managing complex external audits. A thorough understanding of FRS 102 is particularly important, alongside the ability to navigate technical accounting matters with confidence.
Beyond financial reporting, you will bring experience of leading budgeting and forecasting processes, providing meaningful analysis and supporting senior leadership with key commercial decisions.
Your remit will include:
Taking full ownership of group financial reporting, including monthly consolidation, statutory accounts and the annual external audit.
Leading the group's budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring financial plans are robust, insightful and aligned with business objectives.
Overseeing complex technical accounting matters, including acquisitions, disposals and impairment reviews.
Developing reporting processes, financial controls and governance across a large, evolving organisation.
Working closely with the Group Finance Director and Board to provide financial insight, challenge and recommendations.
Supporting strategic projects, investment decisions and wider business transformation.
Managing and developing a team of four, encouraging high standards and continuous improvement.
Importantly, this is not a role for someone who wants to operate solely at a strategic level. The finance function is lean relative to the scale of the organisation, so you will need to be equally comfortable getting into the detail as you are presenting to senior stakeholders.
What you will receiveThis is an opportunity to join a substantial and ambitious international business in a position that offers both influence and variety.
You will work directly with an experienced Group Finance Director, gain exposure to senior decision-makers and play an important role in shaping the future of the finance function.
With continued growth and transformation creating new challenges, there is considerable scope to improve existing processes, develop the team and leave a lasting impact on the organisation.
SummaryWe are particularly interested in speaking with technically strong finance leaders from large, complex or international group environments who are looking for a role that combines the rigour of financial reporting with the opportunity to influence wider business performance.
If you are an experienced Group Financial Controller, Head of Reporting or senior finance professional looking for your next challenge, we would welcome a confidential conversation.
