Family Senior Associate Solicitor – Birmingham

£75,000–£90,000 + Bonus | Legal 100 Firm | Progression to Legal Director / Partner

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor to join the Birmingham office of a leading, multi-office Legal 100 law firm.

The firm is seeking to appoint a Senior Associate to its established Family practice, offering a high-quality caseload of complex matrimonial and financial matters, a competitive remuneration package and a genuine opportunity to progress towards Legal Director and Partnership.

This position will particularly appeal to an ambitious Family Solicitor looking to develop their practice within a well-resourced national firm, while benefiting from the support of experienced colleagues across its wider Family team.

The Role

The successful candidate will advise a predominantly high-net-worth client base on a broad range of private family law matters, with a particular focus on complex divorce and financial remedy proceedings.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing high-value divorce and financial remedy matters.
• Advising on complex financial settlements involving business assets, property portfolios, pensions and substantial personal wealth.
• Negotiating financial arrangements and settlements for high-net-worth individuals.
• Providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice on matrimonial and financial disputes.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.
• Working collaboratively with Family specialists across the firm's national network.
• Contributing to the continued development of the Birmingham Family practice.

The Candidate

• Applications are welcomed from experienced Family Solicitors who are currently operating at Senior Associate level or are ready to progress into a more senior position.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
• Strong experience in privately funded family law, particularly divorce and financial remedy matters.
• Experience handling complex or high-value matrimonial cases.
• Excellent technical knowledge, drafting and negotiation skills.
• The ability to manage client relationships independently and deliver a high standard of service.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships.
• A genuine ambition to progress into a senior leadership position.

Remuneration & Career Development

• Salary: £75,000–£90,000 plus bonus, dependent on experience.
