We’re looking for exam invigilators to oversee examinations within a private tutoring setting.

No experience of invigilating or working in education?

Don’t worry. We provide free training, so you can become a competent, fully trained invigilator in no time.

Exam invigilating suits anyone who wants flexibility in their working life as an alternative to full-time or part-time work. You might be retired and keen to keep your hand in, a parent looking for daytime slots only, or a recent graduate wanting to earn some extra money. Whatever your situation, it’s a great way to fit paid work around your life.

The role

Invigilators make sure examinations run efficiently, securely and with integrity. You’ll be part of a team that:

• Prepares the examination rooms
• Checks student identification and maintains attendance records
• Distributes and collects papers
• Upholds exam regulations throughout the session

• £14.50 per hour
• Full training provided
• No previous experience or formal qualifications required
• Flexible work, with a choice of half days or full days
• Easy to fit around your other commitments

About you

You’re friendly, reliable and punctual, and you’re calm and empathetic towards students under pressure.

Things you need to know

• You must have the right to work in the UK.
• You must have a valid enhanced DBS check, ideally registered on the DBS Update Service.
• We require a minimum of two references.
