The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a high-performing procurement team, supporting a growing and dynamic business across the Midlands. This is a fantastic chance to take a strategic role, helping shape regional procurement performance while working on some of the UK's most prestigious engineering and construction projects. The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic suppliers, and key business initiatives.

Working closely with operational, commercial, and project delivery teams, you will play a leading role in developing and implementing procurement strategies across a diverse project portfolio—supporting projects from work winning and pre-construction through to procurement, delivery, and final completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of bespoke project procurement strategies, ensuring supply chain requirements are secured at the optimum commercial value while meeting programme, quality, and technical requirements.
  • Ensure all procurement activity drives value, mitigates risk, and supports successful project outcomes.
  • Manage key supplier and subcontractor relationships, driving regional supply chain development and procurement excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance, aggregate spend, and maximise value to support wider business objectives.
  • Provide vital support to bid teams through procurement expertise, market intelligence, and detailed cost analysis.
  • Balance multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A strong procurement background, ideally gained within the construction, engineering, or MEP sectors.
  • Proven experience leading procurement activity on complex projects.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • A proactive, strategic approach to supply chain management and procurement performance.
  • Flexibility to travel across the Central Region and to project sites as required.

The Package:

  • Base Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (Flexible for the right candidate)
  • Car Allowance: £6,000
  • Bonus Scheme: 10%
