As we continue to develop our Data Centre capability in the UK, we’re keen to connect with experienced Discipline Leads and senior technical professionals to support anticipated hyperscale Data Centre projects across Europe, delivered by our UK-based team.

We’re particularly interested in expertise across Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural and Architectural Design. With projects expected to progress from Basis of Design into detailed design and subsequent delivery phases, this is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise, lead design development and help shape the delivery of highly complex, mission-critical facilities.

If you’re an experienced technical professional looking to take the next step in your career and contribute to the future of hyperscale Data Centre design and delivery, we’d welcome registered interest.

Responsibilities

Depending on your discipline, responsibilities may include:

  • Leading discipline-specific design development from Basis of Design through detailed design and subsequent project phases.
  • Providing technical direction, design oversight and engineering input to ensure robust, coordinated and buildable solutions.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary design activities and interfaces across Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural and Architectural disciplines.
  • Working collaboratively with project leadership, clients and wider project teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain design quality.
  • Supporting the development of design deliverables, technical standards, specifications and project execution requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in your discipline, with chartership or professional registration desirable or required where appropriate.
  • Significant experience in a relevant discipline, including technical leadership or design management on complex capital projects.
  • Experience delivering large-scale Data Centre, ideally within a hyperscale environment.
  • Strong understanding of design development, multidisciplinary coordination and the transition from early design through detailed design and delivery.
  • Excellent technical judgement, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • An interest in contributing to major European projects while collaborating with PM Group’s UK-based engineering and project delivery teams.
