Title: Senior Planner (Build)

Salary: up to £100,000 + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading UK main contractor based in Birmingham.

The business delivers an extensive portfolio of construction projects across a broad range of build sectors, offering an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to varied and technically challenging schemes.

This is a diverse planning role, with involvement at both tender and contract stages, allowing you to contribute to the development of competitive bids as well as the successful delivery of projects on site.

Your initial focus will be an exciting commercial development in Central Birmingham, working alongside an experienced project team to support the planning and delivery of the scheme.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded Senior Planner looking to join an established contractor with a varied project portfolio and the opportunity to influence projects from pre-construction through to delivery.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner with a strong background working for a UK main contractor and experience across both tender planning and live project delivery.

You will have a thorough understanding of construction methodologies and be comfortable working across different build sectors, adapting your planning approach to suit the requirements of each project.

You will be commercially aware, technically strong and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from pre-construction teams through to site management and senior project leadership.

• Proven experience as a Senior Planner within a UK main contracting environment.
• Experience working on both tender and contract-stage planning.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and project delivery.
• Experience developing, managing and updating detailed construction programmes.
