Manager (Insolvency & Advisory) - #2168012

Our client is a well-established national advisory firm with a growing Restructuring team in Birmingham. The role combines formal insolvency work with advisory work for lenders and businesses under pressure, so you'll build both skill sets side by side.

It suits an insolvency manager who wants to move into advisory work while staying hands-on with cases. If your advisory experience is limited so far, you'll get support to develop it.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a portfolio of formal appointments, mainly administrations and liquidations (CVL and compulsory), from pre-appointment through to closure
• Overseeing statutory compliance, reporting and case progression in line with the SIPs and the Insolvency Rules
• Leading realisation strategies, including asset sales, investigations and communication with creditors and stakeholders
• Delivering advisory work such as independent business reviews (IBRs), pre-lend reviews, options analysis and contingency planning
• Building and reviewing 13-week cash flow forecasts and liquidity analysis
• Supporting pitches and building relationships with lenders, solicitors and introducers
• Supervising and developing junior team members

What you'll bring

• Manager-level experience running formal insolvency cases, particularly administrations and liquidations
• A strong grasp of insolvency legislation, the SIPs and case compliance
• A real interest in developing your advisory experience
• Confidence dealing with directors, lenders and creditor

Nice to have

• Some advisory exposure, such as IBRs, lender reviews or cash flow forecasting
• ACA, ACCA, CPI or JIEB
