Associate Director – Quantity Surveying / Cost Consultancy

Location: Birmingham

Parna Recruitment is working on behalf of a confidential client looking to appoint an Associate Director within its Quantity Surveying / Cost Consultancy team.

This is a senior role for someone with a strong background in infrastructure and utilities, combined with proven experience in business development, client management and team leadership.

The successful person will play an important role in developing client relationships, growing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities and leading a team delivering projects across the infrastructure and utilities sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveying / commercial professionals
• Oversee the delivery of projects across infrastructure and utilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients
• Identify new business opportunities and help grow existing accounts
• Support bids, tenders and proposals for new work
• Build relationships with prospective clients and industry contacts
• Take commercial oversight of projects and commissions
• Support the development and progression of team members
• Work closely with the wider leadership team on growth and delivery

What we are looking for

• Strong Quantity Surveying / Cost Consultancy experience
• Experience working on infrastructure and/or utilities projects
• Proven business development experience
• Experience managing and developing a team
• Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills
• Good commercial awareness
• Experience working at a senior level within consultancy
• A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience

Professional accreditation such as RICS would be advantageous but is not essential.

This could suit an existing Associate Director or Associate, or someone operating at a similar senior level who is ready to take on broader responsibility.
