SF Partners are working with a fantastic charity that is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Accountant to join a complex and purpose-driven organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a key role with responsibility for taking ownership of the organisation's finance platform, leading finance systems projects and driving automation, improved reporting, data quality and governance.

You'll play a central role in shaping the future of the organisation's finance systems, working closely with Finance, Technology & Data and operational teams to ensure systems continue to support the organisation's strategic ambitions.

This is a 12-month FTC.

Key tasks:

- You'll take ownership of the finance system and associated reporting tools, acting as the organisation's subject matter expert.
- Leading the day-to-day administration, development and optimisation of the finance system.
- Identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve reporting and enhance the user experience.
- Leading finance systems projects from planning through to successful implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Managing system configuration and development changes, ensuring appropriate governance, testing and documentation are in place.
- Developing and maintaining the finance systems roadmap, helping to shape future enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.
- Maintaining robust financial controls, system integrity and high-quality financial data.
- Monitoring system integrations, troubleshooting issues and working closely with software suppliers and ICT colleagues to deliver effective solutions.
- Designing and developing reports, dashboards and management information to support informed decision-making.
- Providing training, guidance and ongoing support to finance system users across the organisation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting and efficiency through technology and automation.
- Supporting the continued development of finance systems and contributing to wider transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coaching and developing junior members of the Finance team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Building strong relationships with Finance, Technology & Data, operational teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
