The Role

As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the company's data platform, ensuring business-critical data is accurate, accessible and trusted. Working within a collaborative technology team, you'll help deliver data-driven insights that support operational and strategic decisions across the business.

You'll work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contributing to data engineering, reporting, analytics and data quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance data pipelines and data models
• Build and optimise SQL-based transformations and reporting datasets
• Write complex SQL queries to answer business-critical questions
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights
• Monitor and improve data quality across the organisation
• Maintain technical documentation and data definitions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong SQL skills
• Experience working with relational databases and structured datasets
• Previous experience in a data-focused role involving data transformation, analysis or engineering
• Experience using Git/version control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
• Self-motivated with a proactive and commercially-minded approach
