Role – Chartered Landscape Planner

Location – Birmingham

Salary - £DOE

We are working with an established landscape consultancy in Birmingham that is looking for a Chartered Landscape Planner to join its growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the landscape planning side of the profession and wants to work on a varied range of projects, with plenty of opportunity to develop their career.

The practice works across a mixture of residential, commercial, renewable energy and infrastructure developments, offering a friendly and supportive working environment where you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and work closely with experienced colleagues.

THE ROLE

• Prepare Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVA)
• Undertake site visits, landscape assessments and visual surveys
• Prepare landscape planning reports and supporting documentation for planning applications
• Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
• Produce landscape strategies and mitigation recommendations
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and other consultants
• Manage your own workload and contribute to the successful delivery of projects
• Support junior colleagues and assist with their professional development

CHARTERED LANDSCAPE PLANNER QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS

• A Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with experience in landscape planning
• Strong experience preparing LVIA and LVA reports
• A good understanding of landscape character assessment and the UK planning system
• Experience working on a range of development projects
• Confident report writing and communication skills
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
• A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
