Due to continued project growth, they are seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their established team.
Your new role
As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the delivery of electrical building services designs across a variety of projects. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will be involved in all aspects of design development from initial concept through to detailed design and project completion.Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting senior engineers in the design and delivery of building services projects.
• Producing electrical designs in accordance with current regulations, standards and project requirements.
• Preparing detailed calculations, specifications, drawings and technical schedules.
• Coordinating with internal and external project stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary design team.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation, calculations and correspondence.
• Undertaking site surveys, inspections, commissioning activities and testing where required.
• Assisting with budget estimates, cost planning, tender documentation and contract administration activities.
• Attending project meetings and providing technical input throughout the design process.
• Managing and delivering allocated project tasks to programme and budget.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and trainees where appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you should possess:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within building services consultancy or a similar environment.
• Good understanding of electrical building services design principles and relevant industry standards.
• Experience producing calculations, technical specifications and design drawings.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of relevant British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Membership of, or progression towards membership of, a recognised professional institution such as IET or CIBSE would be advantageous.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
