We’re working with a major international organisation looking for an International Financial Controller to take a lead role across a varied portfolio of programmes and funding. You’ll sit at the heart of finance and operations, bringing together strong reporting, sound decision-making and a clear view of financial risk.

This is a role with plenty of variety - combining technical finance, leadership and business partnering, while giving you the opportunity to improve how finance operates across teams and locations.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the financial management of a diverse portfolio of programmes and funding, overseeing budgets, forecasts, reporting and analysis.
• Provide financial insight and challenge, helping programme and operational leaders make informed decisions and manage risk.
• Oversee financial controls, compliance and governance, ensuring funding is managed in line with internal policies and external requirements.
• Partner with teams across different countries and functions, resolving complex issues and strengthening financial processes.
• Lead and develop a specialist finance team, creating a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive finance transformation, improving systems, processes and reporting to support the organisation’s wider objectives.

What you’ll bring:

• Qualified accountant with a strong background across reporting, planning, controls and financial analysis.
• Experience managing projects, restricted funding or complex income streams.
• A confident business partner able to influence senior stakeholders beyond finance.
• Strong systems and Excel skills, with a commercial, analytical approach and an eye for the bigger picture.
