An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Project Contractor to join Acivico, a leading multi-disciplinary built environment consultancy and service provider operating across design, construction, facilities management and building control.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver key procurement projects across a diverse portfolio, supporting commercial, governance and compliance objectives whilst providing expert procurement advice across the business. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will take ownership of the full procurement lifecycle, from planning and route-to-market decisions through to tender management, contract award and governance.

Acivico operates a flexible hybrid working model, with the team typically attending their Birmingham offices at Brindley Place 1-2 days per week.

The Role

As Procurement Project Contractor, you will be responsible for delivering procurement projects that achieve value for money, compliance and positive commercial outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, providing expert procurement guidance and ensuring all activity is delivered in line with relevant legislation and internal policies.Key responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end procurement exercises and contract awards
• Providing specialist procurement advice to colleagues and stakeholders
• Developing tender documentation, contracts and evaluation materials
• Supporting framework call-offs and other compliant routes to market
• Ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and internal governance requirements
• Managing procurement records and reporting requirements
• Supporting the development and improvement of procurement policies, procedures and best practice
• Identifying and mitigating procurement and commercial risks
• Building strong relationships across the organisation and providing constructive challenge where required

About You

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional who combines strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.You will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities and taking ownership of procurement activity from inception through to award.You will bring:

• Extensive experience delivering public sector procurement exercises and contract awards
• Strong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and its practical application
• Experience using framework agreements and other compliant procurement routes
• Experience developing procurement documentation, policies and governance processes
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision
• Experience within construction, infrastructure, consultancy or built environment organisations would be advantageous, although candidates from other sectors with strong public sector procurement expertise are encouraged to apply.
• Most importantly, you will be a trusted and approachable procurement professional who can provide practical, commercially focused advice and help colleagues achieve successful procurement outcomes.
