Our client is a growing engineering consultancy with an expanding presence in Birmingham and is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join its structures team. This is far more than a standard design role - the successful candidate will work closely with the Birmingham Structures Director, take ownership of projects and have genuine scope to help shape the team, develop the Birmingham office and progress towards Director level.

The role offers significant responsibility across project delivery, technical design, client liaison, team development and business development. It would suit an engineer who enjoys combining strong technical ability with leadership, commercial awareness and the opportunity to build something.

Candidates should have recent structural engineering consultancy experience in the Midlands and be Chartered or close to Chartered, with MICE or MIStructE.

Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and a proactive approach are essential, together with a genuine enthusiasm for engineering and developing others.
