DIAGNOSTIC VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Location: Birmingham Central
Salary: Up to £48,000 DOE + Bonus
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday + Saturday Morning on Rota

You'll be trusted with complex faults, advanced diagnostics and challenging technical repairs, while also supporting the wider workshop when more difficult jobs arise. It's a great opportunity for a technician looking to develop their diagnostic expertise and progress their career.

THE ROLE

As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults across a range of modern vehicles.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out advanced diagnostics on mechanical and electrical faults

  • Using manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment

  • Identifying and resolving complex and intermittent faults

  • Supporting other Technicians with diagnostics and fault finding

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs when required

  • Working on engines, gearboxes and major vehicle components

  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician

  • Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

  • Excellent problem-solving ability

  • Confident working with modern vehicle systems and electronics

  • Ability to work independently and support other Technicians

  • Full UK Driving Licence
