We are looking for an organised and proactive Site Administrator / Document Controller to join a construction project team based in Birmingham.
This is a varied site-based role combining general site office administration, site access management and document control. You will provide essential administrative support to the project team while ensuring that project information is accurately controlled and maintained.
Previous construction experience would be advantageous, particularly within document control. Full training will be provided on the specific systems, processes and procedures required for the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administration and support within the site office.
- Use Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook, to manage day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Meet and greet new starters arriving on site.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the site access control system, including enrolling new starters and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate PPE requirements for visitors where necessary.
- Support the project team with the day-to-day management and control of project documentation.
- Upload, distribute, track and maintain project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure documents are correctly named, filed, issued and kept up to date.
- Coordinate and collate Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation throughout the project.
- Work with project teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders to obtain and manage required information.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, approachable and detail-focused, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a busy site environment.
- Previous experience in an administrative, site administration or document-control role.
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- The ability to manage information accurately and maintain clear records.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with new starters, visitors, subcontractors and project teams.
- The ability to work independently while also supporting the wider project team.
- A willingness to learn new systems and processes.
