Early Talent Advisor

12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Snowhill, Birmingham

Our client, a leading organisation responsible for operating and improving critical national infrastructure across England, is hiring for an Early Talent Advisor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Are you passionate about early talent and providing a high-quality support service to graduates and apprentices? Looking for a role where no two days are the same?

Working with a large-volume caseload of early talent colleagues across the business, you'll manage day-to-day early talent programmes, acting as a subject matter expert within your areas of responsibility. You'll work closely with external partners, including training providers, and support colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

You'll play a key role in designing, developing and managing early talent programmes that build critical business skills, support workforce capability, and help nurture and retain future talent. While you won't be responsible for recruitment into early talent programmes, you will lead on the registration and onboarding of new starters with training providers.

You'll also lead a variety of high-profile projects, including early talent events, development initiatives, conferences, leadership challenges, and continuous improvement activities that enhance the early talent experience and programme outcomes.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design early talent solutions focused on attracting, retaining and developing talent across a range of early talent programmes.
  • Manage end-to-end early talent programmes on a day-to-day basis, acting as the subject matter expert for your area.
  • Work with third-party suppliers on the delivery of early talent initiatives, ensuring delivery against agreed KPIs.
  • Develop internal and external communications, guidance and resources to support the early talent strategy.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees and line managers throughout the early talent lifecycle.
  • Ensure data integrity by maintaining accurate records and reporting.
  • Identify and resolve data issues and collaborate with colleagues to develop meaningful reporting and insights.
  • Support continuous improvement projects that enhance the effectiveness and impact of early talent programmes.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end early talent programmes, such as graduate, apprenticeship, internship, placement or work experience schemes.
  • Experience working within a large, complex or multi-site organisation.
  • Working knowledge of apprenticeship programmes and apprenticeship levy funding, including supporting the administration or coordination of levy-funded training.
  • Experience coordinating projects and managing external suppliers to successfully deliver early talent initiatives and programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build positive relationships and provide guidance across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to delivering an excellent learner and stakeholder experience.

If you're passionate about developing future talent and want to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
