Workforce Group are working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Birmingham to recruit an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Welder Fabricator looking for a stable, permanent position on a day shift, working on a variety of high-quality fabrication projects.

The successful candidate will be confident working with both MIG and TIG welding, with experience fabricating components from mild steel and stainless steel.

As a Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for:

• MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
• Fabricating and assembling components from engineering drawings
• Working with mild steel and stainless steel
• Measuring, marking out, cutting and preparing materials
• Welding components to required specifications and tolerances
• Carrying out fabrication and finishing work
• Ensuring welds and finished products meet quality standards
• Using a range of workshop tools and fabrication equipment
• Working independently as well as part of a skilled engineering team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator who can demonstrate:

• Strong MIG welding experience
• TIG welding experience
• Previous fabrication experience
• Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel
• Ability to read and work from engineering/fabrication drawings
• Good understanding of measurements and tolerances
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications are advantageous but proven practical experience will be considered.

• £15.50 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
