The Supply Register is recruiting Seasonal Exam Invigilators to work across our partner schools and Multi-Academy Trusts in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, organised individuals looking for flexible work during school examination periods. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
The RoleAs an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring examinations are conducted fairly and in accordance with the regulations set by the awarding bodies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing examination rooms before each exam.
Checking candidate identification and seating arrangements.
Supervising students during examinations, ensuring exam regulations are followed at all times.
Distributing and collecting examination papers and materials.
Maintaining a calm, quiet and professional examination environment.
Recording attendance and reporting any incidents or irregularities.
Assisting with setting up and clearing examination venues.
Ensuring the confidentiality and security of examination materials.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Calm, professional and able to remain vigilant throughout examinations.
Reliable, punctual and well organised.
Able to follow instructions and examination regulations accurately.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience working in a school or invigilating exams is desirable but not essential.
As this role is within a school, successful applicants must be able to:
Provide a full employment history covering the last 24 months.
Provide a minimum of two employment references (three if you have not previously worked with children).
Complete an Employment History Form covering every month from leaving full-time education.
Provide character references where required to cover any gaps in employment.
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
Provide proof of right to work in the UK.
Provide two proofs of address, proof of National Insurance and any relevant name change documentation.
Provide an overseas police check if you have lived outside the UK for more than six months.
Complete our free mandatory safeguarding and compliance training.
Flexible working to fit around your availability.
Weekly pay through PAYE.
