Location: Birmingham
Salary: £32,000–£40,000 equivalent, depending on experience
Contract: Temporary – Temp-to-Permanent Potential

Are you an experienced Handyperson, Fabric Engineer or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative looking for an immediate-start opportunity?

A leading Facilities Management organisation is looking for a reliable, multi-skilled individual to support general building and fabric maintenance within a secure, operational environment. The role is initially temporary, with strong potential to become permanent.

The Role

As a Handyperson / Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance

• Completing general repairs and handyperson duties across the site

• Undertaking basic joinery and building maintenance

• Supporting a variety of maintenance tasks outside your core trade

• Working alongside electrical, mechanical and other FM trades

• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard

• Maintaining excellent health, safety and compliance standards

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience as a Handyperson, Fabric Engineer or General Maintenance Operative

• A broad, multi-skilled approach to maintenance

• Experience carrying out general building repairs and maintenance

• Joinery experience would be advantageous, but is not essential

• Experience working within a commercial or Facilities Management environment

• Flexibility to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks

• A reliable and professional approach to work

• A current DBS would be advantageous

Due to the secure nature of the environment, successful candidates will be required to complete relevant background and security checks, including providing a full five-year employment history.
