Summary

Our client is looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join a business-critical technology programme within the pensions space. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Microsoft full-stack developer to work on complex data-led platforms, helping to improve how calculation and scheme data is ingested, processed and made available for reporting and faster calculations.

You will play a key role in building and enhancing solutions that support the ingestion of calculation and scheme data from Excel into a pensions platform, enabling users to access reliable data more efficiently and generate reports with greater speed and accuracy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and enhance full-stack .NET applications using the Microsoft technology stack.
  • Support the ingestion of calculation and pension scheme data from Excel into a pensions platform.
  • Work with complex financial data sets, ensuring accuracy, performance and reliability.
  • Develop functionality that enables improved reporting and faster calculation processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and wider technology teams to understand requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
  • Contribute to technical design, code quality, testing and continuous improvement across the platform.
  • Troubleshoot, optimise and support business-critical systems in a data-heavy environment.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong commercial experience as a Microsoft full-stack .NET Developer.
  • Excellent C# and .NET development skills across front-end and back-end application delivery.
  • Experience working with complex data environments, ideally within pensions.
  • Alternatively, strong experience in complex financial services environments involving large volumes of financial data.
  • Good understanding of data ingestion, transformation, validation and integration processes.
  • Experience working with Excel-based data sources and data migration or data loading activities would be highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A pragmatic, detail-focused approach to solving complex data and application challenges.
