Your new role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving Vehicle Hire and Damage team handling a broad range of defendant credit hire and vehicle damage disputes. You will take ownership of a varied caseload of litigated credit hire and damage matters, spanning small claims track through to multi-track cases. In addition to credit hire disputes, you will also gain exposure to issues including liability, indemnity, personal injury elements, and associated losses such as diminution claims.You will be responsible for proactively managing your files from inception through to resolution, ensuring matters progress efficiently and in line with client expectations. The role involves delivering commercially focused legal advice, maintaining strong relationships with insurer clients, and contributing to wider team performance. You will also play an active role in identifying and addressing risk and compliance matters, while collaborating closely with colleagues to support collective success and meet financial and operational targets.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with litigation rights and proven experience handling credit hire and damage claims. Candidates with a broader Motor or civil litigation background alongside credit hire exposure will also be considered. You will have a track record of managing a busy caseload independently, demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.A solid understanding of client service delivery is essential, including compliance with SLAs, protocols, and key performance indicators. You will be detail-oriented, commercially aware, and confident in making decisions while recognising when escalation or support is required. Strong communication and teamwork skills will enable you to contribute positively to team performance and maintain high standards of client care.
