At peopleworth, we support work where people and performance thrive. As part of our Employer Group, we work with a variety of forward-thinking partners and are excited to share this opportunity that sits within our growing group.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industry Subject Matter Expert to help shape a professional learning programme focused on applied artificial intelligence. This role will ensure the curriculum reflects current industry practice, emerging trends, and the real-world capabilities professionals need to succeed in an AI-enabled workplace.

Working alongside academic contributors and learning design specialists, you will provide industry insight, challenge assumptions, and help create a programme that balances academic rigour with practical application. This is a strategic advisory and curriculum development role rather than a teaching-focused position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the voice of industry throughout curriculum design and course development activities
  • Provide expert guidance on current and emerging AI applications, technologies, and workplace practices
  • Review and validate curriculum content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and practical value
  • Advise on professional AI workflows, agentic AI, governance, responsible AI adoption, and organisational implementation approaches
  • Translate rapidly evolving industry developments into clear learning priorities and outcomes
  • Contribute expertise on how professionals can apply learning directly within their own work environments
  • Participate in collaborative curriculum planning sessions with academic and learning design stakeholders
  • Challenge and refine programme content to strengthen employability, workplace relevance, and professional impact
  • Build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups while advocating for practical industry needs
  • Support the credibility and industry positioning of the programme through professional expertise and networks

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience working within applied artificial intelligence, digital transformation, or a closely related field
  • Minimum five years of relevant professional experience, with strong evidence of current industry practice
  • Track record of delivering AI initiatives, transformation programmes, or technology-enabled business outcomes
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Strong understanding of AI implementation within organisational and team environments
  • Experience evaluating emerging technologies and translating them into business or professional applications
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to balance conceptual thinking with practical execution and workplace relevance
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, persuade, and build consensus across diverse groups
  • Experience contributing to strategic initiatives, programme design, advisory work, or thought leadership activities

Benefits

  • Collaborative, people-centred performance culture
  • Opportunities to grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to innovative learning and technology initiatives
  • Opportunity to contribute to the future of professional AI education
