Job Description

The role of a HR/ Recruitment Officer will include recruiting, support and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. You will contribute to making the company a better place to work. In H.U.M.A.N we expect to see a committed and approachable individual with good character and skills.


Skills and knowledge you'll need:

● Administration skills

● Knowledge of human resources and employment law

● To be thorough and pay attention to detail

● Customer service skills

● The ability to work well with others

● Sensitivity and understanding

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device


Job Duties

● Preparing and submitting reports with employee data to make sure that all staff members meet requirements

● Offer help and assistance to employees, assist in recruitment and discipline, and provide training to keep all staff members aware of updates and changes in the workplace.

● Effective induction, generic guidance and support to new employees

● Being available to answer questions and provide guidance

● Updating, maintaining and keeping employee records

● Providing service to employees who need assistance

● Verifying information from new and potential employees

● Preparing correspondence for disciplinary action or other employee issues

● Continuing education through trainings and workshops

● Keeping confidential personal information about employees

● Dealing with complaints and discipline procedures

● Working with other managers, improving employees' experiences of the workplace

● Making sure employees have the right pay and benefits (for PAYE employees)

● Promoting equality, and health and safety

● Advising on matters like pay negotiations, redundancy and employment law (in paid employment scenario)

● Developing HR policies and procedures

● Recording and analysing confidential information


HR/ Recruitment Officer Skills

Good Planning and Organisational Skills to keep on top of pressing HR issues and scheduling orientations, interviews, and other events, Customer Service skills, Ability to handle difficult situations with employees, Willingness to analyse security and safety concerns expressed by employees, Maturity when dealing with sensitive topics such as sexual harassment or other concerns, Experience with Quality Control, Dependability, Adaptability in situations where

needs arise and change quickly, Good Writing and Editing skills for all written correspondence that could be used in a legal setting, Excellent Oral Communication skills, ability to solve problems effectively and fairly while considering and analysing different viewpoints on a specific issue.
