We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a professional services organisation based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong stakeholder management skills and a proven background in credit control within a professional services environment.

Operating in a hybrid working model, you will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and building strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients.

• Proactively manage and collect outstanding debt across a portfolio of clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including partners and fee earners
• Resolve invoice queries efficiently to minimise payment delays
• Monitor aged debt reports and take appropriate action to reduce exposure
• Conduct regular account reviews and agree payment plans where necessary
• Produce credit control reports and provide updates to senior management
• Ensure adherence to company credit policies and procedures
• Support month-end processes and cash allocation activities

• Proven experience in credit control within a professional services environment (e.g. legal, consultancy, accounting)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Confident liaising with senior stakeholders and clients
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise workload effectively
• Proficient in Excel and finance systems
• Proactive, resilient, and results-driven

• Salary of up to £32,000
• Hybrid working model (Birmingham office base)
