huddle Recruitment
Senior DB Pensions Administrator (Actuarial)
Birmingham 2 days
Up to £50k + 16% pensions Contribution
I’m currently supporting a well-established pensions consultancy with a specialist focus on small Defined Benefit schemes, who are looking to hire an experienced Senior DB Pensions Administrator to join their actuarial team.
This is a technically focused opportunity within a collaborative environment that works closely across both pensions administration and actuarial services.
This is a varied and technically focused role where you will:
- Manage a portfolio of DB pension clients
- Review and oversee administration work
- Support technical calculations and case resolution
- Work from first principles on complex or non-standard cases
- Liaise closely with actuarial and administration teams
- Support delivery within a highly collaborative boutique environment
This opportunity would suit someone with strong Defined Benefit pensions experience who enjoys technical problem-solving, client ownership and working within a less process-driven environment.
What you'll need
- Strong Defined Benefit (DB) pensions administration experience 3-5 years
- Experience reviewing and checking pensions administration work
- Good understanding of DB pension scheme rules and calculations
- Ability to work through technical cases from first principles
- Experience managing client relationships and prioritising workloads
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with both administration and actuarial teams
- Previous experience within a consultancy or third-party administration environment is advantageous
