Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager

Birmingham (Hybrid)

£75,000 + Bonus

Our client is looking for a commercially minded finance leader to support the Finance Director and help run a high-performing finance function. This is a visible, operational role where your insight will influence planning, forecasting, controls, reporting, and the wider direction of the business.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced organisation that values finance as a true business partner, not just a back-office function.

What you’ll do

You’ll work closely with the Finance Director to:

• Lead, support and develop the finance team
• Keep the department running smoothly, including covering for the Finance Director when needed
• Support monthly forecasting, long-term planning and business performance reviews
• Provide clear financial analysis, insight and challenge to senior stakeholders
• Oversee financial reporting, cash management, payments and payroll processes
• Ensure systems, forecasts and reports reflect the latest business information
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance with group policies
• Prepare board-level reports, presentations and management information
• Lead or support ad hoc projects across finance and the wider business

What we’re looking for

• Qualified accountant with 2-5 years' post qualified experience in Industry.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent commercial judgement and confidence to challenge constructively
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into useful insight
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, cost control and reporting
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders
• A proactive, resilient and decisive approach
• The ability to thrive in a busy, changing environment
