Operating in a regulated environment, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and customer care. As we continue to evolve and lead the industry through regulatory changes and enhanced customer expectations, we’re looking for a skilled Compliance Advice Manager to join our Risk & Compliance team.

This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape our compliance strategy and provide expert, independent guidance across our regulated funeral plan activities. You’ll operate in the second line of defence, delivering clear, proportionate advice and ensuring our business complies with FCA and industry regulations, including FPCOBS and Consumer Duty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the provision of proportionate and practical regulatory advice across business units.
  • Support incident closure and guide remediation activity through Monitoring and Audit findings.
  • Conduct horizon scanning and communicate regulatory change using our Regulatory Radar.

  • Escalate issues where needed and support senior management in risk and compliance matters.
  • Deliver training across the business to raise awareness and embed a strong compliance culture.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings demonstrated experience in a second line of defence compliance advisory role within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Has working knowledge of FCA regulation (especially FPCOBS), Consumer Duty, and horizon scanning.
  • Is a clear communicator and trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across marketing, legal, operations, and product teams.
  • An analytical thinker who can proactively assess regulatory changes, conduct horizon scanning, and translate risk into practical business impact.
  • Can simplify complex regulation into actionable business advice with a pragmatic mindset.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail, integrity, and a proactive approach to managing compliance risks.

What We Offer

  • Annual salary of up to £65,000.
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
  • BUPA private healthcare (Self).
  • Company pension.
  • X2 Life Assurance.
  • Annual company bonus.
  • Access to our internal colleague development schemes.
