This position is part of the UK Centre of Excellence (CoE) Financial Accounting team. The main activities concern overseeing the UK CoE management accounts, UK CAPEX, IFRS 16 lease accounting, internal “auto trading”, intercompany loans and reconciling the quarterly inter-company return. The role involves managing a team of two qualified accountants in the UK and supporting a team of five support staff in Bangalore.

Working days: This role requires a hybrid working model i.e. requirement to work from office 3 days a week.

Key Relationships

• Internal- the UK CoE Financial Accounting Department, other departments within the UK CoE, the broader AtkinsRéalis Finance community (including non-UK teams).
• External- occasionally AtkinsRéalis suppliers & customers.
  
  

Your Purpose

• Managing a team of four accountants (3 qualified and 1 PQ).
• Reviewing the preparation of the UK CoE management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Analysing the cashflow for the UK CoE and UK Centre, including posting late cash movements.
• Analysing monthly, quarterly and annual variances for the Group.
• Reviewing of month end reporting including enrichment and continuity schedules in FCCS.
• Reviewing the UK CoE balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine.
• Reviewing IFRS16 lease accounting entries, budgets and forecasts.
• Reviewing of monthly internal trading commitments.
• Reviewing intercompany loans.
• Reviewing and assisting with the inter-company reconciliation process.
• Reviewing the UK CAPEX process.
• Reviewing and assisting with the preparation of annual corporation tax packs for 15 statutory companies.
• Preparation of analysis and reports for Tax, Treasury and Business Finance departments.
• Reviewing the analysis and submission of related party transactions for parent company.
• Liaising with auditors. Liaising with global teams to facilitate cash movements across the company.
• Coordinating with offshore teams to ensure smooth integration with reporting commitments.
• Staff performance and development reviews, mentoring and training opportunities.
• Assisting with ad hoc projects as required.
  
  

Technical And Professional Experience

• Qualified in a recognised professional accountancy qualification.
• The candidate must have experience in a similar role.
• The candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including use and set-up of Pivot tables and formulas.
• Experience of an accounting software package.
• Ideally with good working knowledge of Oracle accounting software.
• Ideally with experience of consolidation tools such as EPM, HFM.
