Our opticians for people experiencing homelessness, located within Birmingham, is looking for a volunteer Local Team Lead. This flexible role requires a 2 hour weekly commitment remotely.

What will you be doing?

As the Local Team Lead of your clinic, you'll lead a team of dedicated volunteers to ensure the clinic operates at its full potential. This includes maximizing patient outreach, building community relationships, delivering patient care, securing funding support, providing clinical and customer service, and fostering a positive team environment. Your contributions will directly enhance the impact of our services and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Plus, as part of our national network of 24 Local Team Leads, you'll join a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to creating positive change nationwide. The role will include Organising and Chairing Team Meetings Leading the organisation and facilitation of all Clinic Team meetings, providing a platform for collaboration, feedback, and decision-making among volunteers. Liaising with VCHP Central Staff Acting as a key liaison and feedback conduit between your Clinic Team and the central VCHP staff team, ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals. Overseeing clinic Facilitating team liaison to ensure the Clinic Team maintains control and oversight of clinic operations, identifying any development or support needs to enhance service delivery. Co-ordinating recruitment Identifying any recruitment needs within your Clinic Team and collaborating with the VCHP central team to fill these roles, ensuring that the team remains adequately staffed to meet patient needs. Increasing team effectiveness Encouraging team discussion relating to the effectiveness of the clinic and associated support roles, providing guidance to team members where relevant, in conjunction with the VCHP staff team.
