Nation Wide Site Manager - #1761812

Ionic Recruitment are currently looking for a Site Manager on behalf of our client.

Introduction:Our client, a specialist shop fitting contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver high-quality fit-out projects across the UK. This is a nationwide role, requiring travel and occasional stays away. The ideal candidate will have a background in fast-paced retail or commercial interiors, with the ability to lead site teams and ensure smooth delivery. This position is available on a freelance or permanent basis, with salary or day rate negotiable depending on experience (DOE).

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + package (perm) / Negotiable day rate (freelance)Location: Nationwide (UK-wide travel required)Type: Freelance or Permanent

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead site operations from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and programme targets are met.

• Manage subcontractors and trades on-site, coordinating logistics, materials, and sequencing.

• Enforce health and safety compliance and conduct regular site checks.

• Maintain clear communication with Project Managers, clients, and internal teams.

• Deliver projects to a high standard, on time and within budget.

• Complete all necessary site records, daily reports, and compliance documentation.

Requirements:

• Strong background in shop fitting, retail, or commercial interior fit-out.

• Experience managing fast-track projects and working in live environments.

• SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS required.

• Excellent site leadership and communication skills.

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/stay away when needed.

• Available on either a freelance or permanent basis – flexibility essential.
