About The Role

As a Supervising Practitioner, you’ll play a pivotal role in improving the emotional wellbeing of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs. Working across education settings, you’ll deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, support the implementation of Whole School Approaches, and build the confidence of school staff through consultation, training and strategic collaboration.
At the same time, you’ll provide clinical supervision and guidance to Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and trainees, helping to nurture their development while ensuring safe, effective practice. You’ll be central to our efforts to raise standards, strengthen clinical governance, and create an environment where reflective practice thrives.
With your expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and your passion for system-wide impact, you’ll work closely with a skilled, values-led team committed to early intervention and collaborative care.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- A nationally recognised qualification in mental health or a related field (e.g. EMHP, CWP, nursing, psychotherapy, social work)
- Eligibility to practise under a governing body such as BABCP or NMC
- At least two years’ experience delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people
- A Postgraduate Certificate in supervision or management, or willingness to undertake it
- Strong knowledge of CBT-informed approaches and experience providing clinical supervision
- Confidence in risk assessment, safeguarding and working across agencies
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to work in education or community settings with a flexible, solution-focused mindset
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (or equivalent)
