Job Description

As an Apprentice, you will become a part of a experienced team from day one. You will gain knowledge and experience in all aspects of childcare and education, which will support you in gaining your qualification to a high standard. You will have the opportunity develop your skills in care, planning and assessment, safeguarding, Prevent, SEND, EYFS and Equality and Diversity.

Day-Day Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in daily nursery activities, assisting with age-appropriate learning experiences for children.
  • Help create and maintain a positive and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.
  • Work under the guidance of senior staff members to develop your knowledge and skills in early childhood education.
  • Join in with all aspects of nursery life, including engaging in play, supporting meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities.
  • Maintain a professional attitude by respecting and adhering to confidentiality agreements, particularly regarding sensitive information about children and families.
  • Understand and follow nursery policies and procedures, especially around safeguarding and child protection.
  • Embrace the understanding that every child is unique, respecting their individual needs, preferences, and learning styles.

Training

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Educator – L3.

Prospects

Possibility of a full time role after the completion of the apprenticeship.
