Role Summary:


Join our dynamic Terminal Operations team at Birmingham Airport as a Continuous Improvement Implementation Lead. In this pivotal role, you’ll help drive operational excellence by supporting the implementation of improvement initiatives across key functions such as Security, Baggage, and Customer Experience. Reporting to the Operations Improvement Manager, you’ll translate strategy into action, embed change, and contribute to a culture of innovation and progress within one of the UK’s busiest airports.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the delivery of Birmingham Airport’s continuous improvement strategy within Terminal Operations
  • Collaborate with departments including Security, Baggage, and Customer Experience to identify and deliver operational enhancements
  • Lead projects from initial pilot phase through to full implementation, ensuring measurable outcomes
  • Monitor, report, and document the results and benefits of improvement initiatives
  • Ensure improvements support both operational efficiency and an enhanced customer journey
  • Facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement


Experience Required:


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, customer-facing or operational environments
  • Experience in a Continuous Improvement or change implementation role (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (desirable)
