Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services

Location: Birmingham Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum Sector: Building Design Consultancy (Residential, Healthcare, Leisure)

The Role:

• Lead mechanical design on a range of building services projects across residential, healthcare, and leisure sectors.
• Deliver detailed mechanical engineering designs from concept through to completion.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and sustainability targets.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team.

Requirements:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• Proven experience in mechanical design within a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
• Proficient in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Hevacomp, or IES.
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
